Discover the Healing Energy of Schumann Resonance: How Earth's Frequency Affects Your Wellbeing
When our bodies are in sync with the Earth’s heartbeat (7.83 hertz) they are able to heal more readily and we have an increased sense of vitality and wellbeing. That is the frequency at which the human brain functions most efficiently.
What is Schumann's Resonance?
The Earth emits standing electromagnetic waves of varying frequencies, which are caused by events such as lightning discharges, cosmic storms and other natural and man-made phenomena. These energetic outputs, which are trapped in a 30-mile cavity between the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere, were discovered in the 1950s by Dr Winfried Otto Schumann, a German physicist, after which they are named.
The Schumann resonances are electromagnetic pulses emitted from the center of the Earth, radiating outwards up to the ionosphere. They normally have a frequency of around 7.83 hertz (cycles per second) and are considered to be the Earth’s heartbeat to which all biological life, including the human brain, is tuned into. When our bodies are out of sync with the Schumann resonance we may exhibit symptoms such as insomnia, anxiety, illness, weakened immune system and other signs of stress. When our bodies are in sync with the Earth’s heartbeat (7.83 hertz) our bodies are able to heal more readily and we have an increased sense of vitality and wellbeing.
Since being in sync with the Earth’s heartbeat (Schumann resonance) is so important to the wellbeing of all living beings, astronauts living/working in spacecraft orbiting outside the ionosphere are negatively affected by the weakening frequencies experienced in this environment and are now exposed to artificially produced electromagnetic waves of a similar frequency during their space travels.
From the time they were first measured in the early 1960s up until the early 1980s, the frequency of the Schumann resonances remained around 7.83, which is the frequency at which the human brain functions most efficiently. However, the frequencies of these resonances have been steadily increasing since the early 1980s, and some significant short-term spikes have recently been recorded. According to NASA, variation in the frequency of these resonances typically correspond with seasonal changes or changes in solar activity, activity within the Earth’s magnetic field or atmospheric water aerosol concentrations, or other Earth-related phenomena.
How Schumann Resonance Affects the Human Brain
The human brain is entrained to the Earth’s electromagnetic frequencies, with our brain waves essentially functioning in sync with the Schumann resonances. The human brain operates at various levels as outlined below:
-
- Delta (1-4 hertz) — frequency waves associated with deep sleep or an unconscious state
-
- Theta (4-8 hertz) — frequency waves associated with light sleep (REM sleep), dreaming, deep meditation, hypnosis, and trance-like states, as well as emotional excitement and mental illness.
-
- Alpha (8-14 hertz) — these frequencies are associated with light meditation, peaceful relaxation, and awakening consciousness, such as one experiences just before falling asleep and just after waking up.
-
- Beta (14-40 hertz) — this frequency range is associated with heightened alertness or nervousness, typically experienced with everyday activities that lack creativity or insightfulness.
-
- Gamma (40+ hertz) — these higher frequencies are associated with bursts of insight or creativity, but may also be associated with increased levels of anxiety. It is believed that exposure to these frequencies can also increase our spiritual awareness and change our perception of the world and how we fit in it.
Schumann resonance normally entrains our brains to electromagnetic frequencies in the Theta/Alpha range, where we are in a state of unawakened consciousness. When Schumann’s resonance spikes, the Earth is exposing us to higher frequencies (vibrations), and by doing so it’s essentially tuning our brains and awakening our minds to a higher level of processing during these short intervals.
Since the Earth’s magnetic field is currently weakening, together with a reduced output from the sun, cosmic energy such as the Schumann resonances tends to have a greater effect on us, and it is believed that this can ultimately lead to increased consciousness and spiritual awakening.
